Jobs in Morocco

I’m still in Morocco visiting until the end of the month and the holy month in here of Ramadan.  While visiting, I try to learn about the Job market in Morocco. It seems like there are many job opportunities out there, and few good quality recruitment websites that are in French only.  After browsing those sites,  I noticed that many companies are posting job offers in English, and jobs that require proficiency the the English language.

I own few morocco related domain names,  and today I decided to make JobsInMorocco.com  a Morocco job board and website. I’m not looking to charge people to post or to apply for a job.  My goal is to help professionals  to find good jobs in Morocco, and to provide a complete employment opportunities to help serious job seekers find jobs in Morocco.

Hi Adam, I am a moroccan/ US Citizen currently living in the USA, but planning to come back to Morocco permanently and I have a very good resume and experience. Would you please help me look for a job in my domain in Morocco?

    Salam Aziz,

I’m not a hiring manager but my best advice will be to prepare your resume in French and apply online. There’s few recrutement websites that post daily new available jobs.
When are you looking to reloacted to Morocco? Maybe you can still apply while you are in the U.S but you should have an arrival date in mind.

    Good luck

I don’t have an exact number to give, but I think it’s all about your qualifications and the on-going job vacancies.
You should start applying for job from now, hopefully by December you will have an idea.
I applied for few jobs, but I didn’t received any kind of answer yet. I’m sure with a little more effort from my part, I could find a job. I’m trying to avoid working for people, but i won’t mind doing with the right people and in the right atmosphere.
While lurking, I found bayt.com it has some jobs posted for the English speaking professionals.
    Good luck

Thanks Adam, I started posting my resume in couple websites. The reason I asked is because I still have that idea that in order to work there, you need to know people or have friends… (m3erfa)
I have been living in the USA for 17 years, so I am sure things have changed in Morocco.
My degree is in Accounting and I have an MBA as well.I myself don’t want to work for people, but wouldn’t mind if it is big multinational company…
Good luck to both of us.

Unfortunately some things will never change. I’m sure if you know with good connections, he/she could hook you up easily. I have been living in the USA for 10 years and I admit that things changed and the job market is more open now. Also, you can search for job fairs in the Americas. I think there’s one that’s coming up and organised by local hiring agencies, etc.. and most of the big companies/bank in Morocco attend them in order to hire Moroccan talents abroad.
Thank you for the good luck wishes and same to you :)

It’s been a while since I read about it, but apparently its held in Montreal and not in the U.S.
Also It might worth flying to Montreal and attend, but the date is way to close now (Oct 22nd).

    Hi Adam,
I’m trying to find job in Morocco long time, but unfortunately, I’m not successful, it seems without French it is impossible. Do you have any info about jobs for english/german speakers in Morocco?
    Thanks in advance!

Hi Wera, unfortunately that’s true, it’s hard to find jobs without French since it’s a business language but I saw jobs that require english. check out regularly bayt(dot)com, it seems like it’s the only website that feature more global positions.

I’m not sure what’s your background, but maybe hospitality jobs can put your German/English to a good use.. especially in Agadir. i.e The Robinson club, German language is required and they were hiring.

Thank you a lot for your quick answer! I just graduated Media and Communication in Uni, but I’d be thankful for any kind of job there, coz I have a big interest to relocate to Morocco. Once again, thanks for your useful links!

You are welcome. Just keeping searching i’m sure there’s media companies that don’t use French and it would be nice if you got something you went to school for.
    Good luck
